EPIC

EPIC Group is a middle school group that meets to discuss how to overcome peer pressure and how to make good choices. The acronym EPIC stands for "Every Person In Control," meaning that we are all in control of our own choices and actions.  Some of the topics addressed are bullying, drug and alcohol use and the consequences, smoking and vaping, social media misuse, cyber-bullying, etc.. Along with discussions about these topics, we also participate in skits, make posters to hang on the school walls, have guest speakers in, and view movies that go along with the pressures that are addressed in the group. We meet every other Thursday from 2:30 - 4:00 in Mrs. Gilliland's room. Students must be picked up by 4:00 or can make arrangements to ride the elementary bus home. If you have further questions or feel you would have something to offer to the group, please contact Elaine Gilliland at 393-9877 (ext 2724).
